Easy Housing constructs Easy Homes in Uganda using sustainably sourced timber, leveraging its circular design to ensure long-term carbon storage. Each home, built with standardised designs and circular assembly, adapts easily to growing families or relocation without demolition. This approach secures approximately 1.5 kg of CO₂ per kg of timber used through carbon sequestration, totaling 108 tCO2e across 10 certified homes. Operating across Africa, Easy Housing integrates local labour and values, cultural integration and economic stimulation. As a subsidiary of Easy Building Concepts BV, registered in the Netherlands, Easy Housing employs sustainable forestry practices and offers scalable solutions to the region's housing needs. Through licensing, Easy Building sells Carbon Removal Units (CRUs), reinvesting revenues to enhance affordability and develop building technologies for emerging economies.

Founder Wolf Bierens is a Dutch impact entrepreneur and engineer with a background in environmental technology and sustainable construction. He co-founded Sustainer, building circular wooden homes, and founded Easy Housing, addressing sustainable housing needs in emerging economies. Wolf was listed on Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2017 and on the Sustainable Young 100 in The Netherlands in 2016 and 2020.
