Description

Welcome to Uka Farm, where regenerative farming meets harmony with nature and people. At Uka Farm, the dedication to embracing the principles of regenerative farming fosters the cultivation of a diverse range of fruits, vegetables, and exceptional wines. The core mission revolves around promoting biodiversity among plants, insects, and various life forms. By harmonizing farming practices with nature, Uka Farm contributes to the restoration of ecosystems and soils.

Social aspects are also a central point of this family farm. Native grape varieties from some of the most remote villages in Albania are used, making this a primary source of income for 250 families. This approach fosters strong personal connections, economic growth, and sustainable livelihoods.

About our carbon farmer

Flori Uka, the visionary behind the farm, upholds a life philosophy of living in balance with nature and people. He aims to inspire future generations, including his two sons, to understand and respect nature and life. Uka Farm was founded in 1996 by Flori Uka's father, entomologist Professor Rexhep Uka, with the goal of increasing insect diversity. Flori, a professional sommelier and winemaker, continues to uphold his father's principles by working in harmony with insects and other forms of life on the farm. The farm is located in the Laknas village, 8 km from Tirana, the capital of Albania.
