Description

Bosvol Smaak connects children and communities with nature, fostering awareness of health, biodiversity, and sustainability. Through outdoor education and hands-on experiences, it inspires appreciation for ecosystems while actively restoring them.

Designed as both a thriving ecosystem and an educational space, the food forest promotes biodiversity and soil health. Schools use it for outdoor lessons, while individuals and businesses engage through fresh produce sales, partnerships with local restaurants, and community activities such as workshops and therapy sessions. An on-site nursery supplies edible plants to other regenerative projects, further supporting sustainable agriculture.

Established in 2024, Bosvol Smaak follows syntropic farming principles, avoiding pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. A phased planting approach ensures continuous learning and adaptation. The landscape includes diverse edible species, ponds, and quiet spaces, offering both exploration and relaxation.

Funding comes from education programs, plant and produce sales, guided foraging walks, and space rentals. Structured as a general partnership (v.o.f.), the project balances ecological restoration with economic sustainability, creating a lasting impact for future generations.
